Lost Peace

I lost my peace, gave away my joy to a series of minor irritations.

I refused God’s peace and instead let life steal it from me.

I took my problems to God, not wanting Him to help me restore my peace…

Just so I could whine and complain.

I didn’t want God to help me, and I refused to let God help me, so He roundabout helped me, on the sly…

How, you might ask…

By putting it on my heart to read Joyce Myers, and then a little of Joel Osteen to remember Whose I am.

When I lost my peace, the state of mind I was in, wouldn’t allow me to recieve comfort from God because I wanted to wallow…

And if I’m being honest, because I was a little mad at Him for not just making all the irritations go away!

I have this bible study plan on my cell phone (which goes everywhere with me.)

This beautiful Christian lady has reached me when I’ve shut God out…

Maybe because she’s fully human (and 0 part God) so I knew she could empathize with my struggles.

(I know God can to, but at these moments, I didn’t want Him to! Ok!)

God uses her to speak to me when He knows I’ve put my fingers in my ears and am acting like a brat towards Him.

Another great resource I go to is any book written by Joel Osteen.

Read one of his books and just TRY to be blah and see how that works out for you!

God uses this man mightily to remind me who I am and more importantly, Whose I am.

It doesn’t take long for me to approach my Father, hat in hand, with a very sincere and heartfelt apology.

And guess what?

He forgives me… EVERY time!

https://biblia.com/bible/esv/hebrews/8/12 and not only does God forgive me, He doesn’t even remember my sins!

He doesn’t say, “This is the second time you’ve done this to me, so now I’m turning my back on you!”

Although, He has every right to!

I seen a Facebook post that said:

“I’ve given God a million reasons to hate me, but He refuses to.”

I felt that.

My prayer is that these resources will remind you who you are and Whose you are whenever, if ever, you forget.
