Becoming a Person of Integrity and Honor

Integrity and honor…two character traits I want to have, but the cost is high and my pride and sense of entitlement is strong within me!

How can I be a person of integrity and honor when people are attacking me unjustly?

When the whole world celebrates my get-ahead-at-all-costs mentality?

When sacrificing for others is seen as being gullible and as proof that I am an easy target to take advantage of?

When I’m being accused of something I didn’t do?

When unfair circumstances in life…cripple me?

When the death of loved ones, gone too soon, overwhelms me?

When others are gossiping about me?

When I see others being promoted, being rewarded at work for lying and cheating?

When being kind is seen as my attempts to manipulate people?

When I’m fighting for my sanity, my job, my marriage, my family, my life…how can I be a person of integrity and honor?

Why would I???

Being a person of integrity and honor is hard, and it will be harder than anything else you’ve ever done in your life.

Our legal system punishes you (to the fullest extent of the law) if you admit to committing a crime without “mitigating circumstances” AKA blaming something or someone else.

Our school system will penalize a child who accepts responsibility for their actions, but will create a support plan for a child who blames their actions on others.

Why would I even want to consider becoming a person of integrity and honor, especially when the world encourages selfishness, and punishes accountability?

That’s a good question!

And the answer is what usually stops a person from moving forward with being a person of integrity and honor…

It’s the right thing to do.

That’s it, that’s my answer.

And, for a lot of people out there, it simply isn’t a good enough reason to move forward.

Being a person of integrity and honor makes life harder every day, there is usually a penalty attached to accountability, and even those who love you will not believe or accept the change in you.

You will be able to look yourself in the mirror.

You will do the right thing even when there is no reward.

You will be a great role-model for others.

And for Christians, you will honor God by living out the first and second greatest commandments; love God, and love others.

If you are ready to travel down this lonely road less traveled, I have written down Integrity and Honor courses to help you along your journey.

Because I am a woman of integrity and honor, you will decide what you will pay for each course.

Did you just say…

Yes, I did.

Sacrificing for others, being kind, generous, people-focused rather than money-obsessed is something that will be required of you as well, if you decide to become a pursue this journey.

You do not have to be a Christian to become a person of excellance, a person of great worth, a person of integrity and honor… but, I will say it sure helps me that I am! lol
