Build a Website

As I mentioned previously, God directed me to build a website. I heard God clearly instruct me to build this website. (And, if you are reading this God post, I FINALLY did it!) I wonder if Noah felt as incredulous as I did, after all, he was told to build an ark in the desert lol https://biblia.com/bible/esv/hebrews/11/7 He listened to God, why can’t I??? So, I, ever the obedient one, hired someone to fix one little thing on this website that I spent days trying to figure out on my own. And… They fixed it! I now had a Cookie...

Satan Uses Encouragement

Satan uses encouragement: As a new Christian, I believed the only thing Satan could use against me was: temptation. I was wrong! https://biblia.com/bible/esv/2-corinthians/11/14 What? He can do that??? Also in Satan’s bag of tricks is: “encouragment”, which he uses quite effectively! (Satan also uses scriptures, disobedience disguised as obedience, and acts of love, which I will write about in future God posts.) I want to share with you an example of how Satan uses encouragement to take us away from God. This past Saturday, my son went to the gym (remember, he’s committed to honing his temple to become the...

Saying “Yes” to God

Saying “Yes” to God, for me, was a difficult thing to say! I was running a very successful counseling agency. I had clients that I was doing very good work with. I was restoring families, teaching clients to be kiddos and their parents to be people of integrity and honor. I was financially secure, and I was doing God’s work! Then, I heard Him say; “I need you to build a website so that every child and parent has access to My Integrity and Honor program.” I, being the obedient child that I am, immediately began making “deals” with God....

Giving

Giving is something we are called to do as Christians. https://biblia.com/bible/esv/2-corinthians/9/7 and God wants us to be happy about it too! We are even called to give to our enemies! https://biblia.com/bible/esv/proverbs/25/21-22 Caring for the poor, the orphans, the widows, the less fortunate, is an expectation: https://biblia.com/bible/esv/deuteronomy/24/19 It’s also how we show God’s love to others. And… We may be answering someone’s prayers in our obedience! Sweet! When I was a new Christian, I heard many conflicting points of view on this subject… “You’re so gullible! That guy probably makes more money than you do!” “How nieve can you be? You...

Gratitude Is A Killer

Gratitude is a killer of selfishness, complaints, irritations, anger, disappointment, resentment, bitterness, unforgiveness… Pretty much all the negative emotions and behaviors we experience when we are waiting in line, handling a complaint, feeling attacked, disrespected, uncared about or dismissed. That’s why the Bible speaks about giving thanks in all circumstances: https://biblia.com/bible/esv/1-thessalonians/5/16-18 Life happens to us all… And you can bet Satan wants to make it as unbearable as possible for us to endure. https://biblia.com/bible/esv/john/10/10 The very last thing Satan wants is for us to express gratitude! Why? Because if you are grateful, you’re not really in the stealing, killing kind...

Veterans Day

Today I am reminded that only two “people” ever put their lives on the line for me, thier sacrifices were great: Jesus gave His life to save my soul, to reconcile me with my Father and the American soldier, who was willing to die in order to ensure I could live in the land of the free. https://biblia.com/bible/esv/john/15/13 talks about how there is no greater sacrifice than to lay down one’s life for another. The sacrifices our military men and women make is incomprehensible; the birthdays they miss, holidays spent miles away, not being stateside to say “goodbye” as one...
