Day 46: Stayed in Bed

October 22, 2021: So, today I stayed in bed all day, binge-watched a show I had no business watching and ate things I had no business eating!

No, I’m not sick. I feel fine, just… blah, not having a depressive episode, just, you know…blah.

I wasn’t productive, disciplined, nor did I speak to my Father today.

Whoa, I don’t NOT speak to my Father!

I will be correcting that tomorrow! I promise tomorrow’s post will not be titled “I stayed in bed..again!”

Today’s weigh-in picture:

Sorry it’s backwards!

I should be feeling happy about my weight loss, but…

I’m just feeling blah, it happens to the best of us (thank God it rarely happens to me!)

How strange is it that I know for certain how to “pull myself out of this funk”, yet I refuse to do it?

I just want to be blah today, so blah is what I’m going to be!

So far today (it’s 9:00 P.M. so the binging should end soon as I’ll be sleeping), I have eaten 3 Reece’s peanut butter cups, 2 large handfuls of BBQ potato chips, 5 saltwater taffy’s, 7 Optavia fuelings (I tried to be good), cheese, peanuts and an extra lean and green meal.

See why it’s a super bad idea for me to have blah days, days when I stray too far from my Father?

I didn’t even get dressed today! Nope, sure didn’t.

I found an article (see, I’m not so bad off I can’t google lol)

https://www.scarymommy.com/how-to-get-out-of-a-slump/

I like how it speaks about acknowledging your’re in a funk and giving yourself grace for being in one.

I think I started to add guilt into the funk by asking myself what Christian gets in a funk?

Aren’t we supposed to be joyfilled and full of peace every day?

Well, if that’s the case, then I’m glad to be covered with my Father’s grace.

And a really cool thing…is my Father understands funks.

May tomorrow be a regular day!

Person of Honor

Hi! I'm Raynee. I am a Christian, a licensed professional counselor, a wife to a husband I do not deserve-cause he's so wonderful, a mother of two amazing adult children I couldn't be more proud of, and a grandmother AKA Mimi of seven absolutely adorable grandbabies. I am also an Optivia coach, a writer, a speaker, and most importantly (second to being a Christian that is) I am a woman of integrity and honor.
