Day 56: Getting My Butt Back to Where it Belongs

November 1, 2021: Guess who got her butt back to the gym where it belongs? Yep, this girl!

Me! It’s me!

I’m not going six days a week like I did pre-cruise though.

I’ve decided three days a week is good.

Or is it?

Most of the articles I researched concentrated on weight lifting, which I’m not even doing lol.

This article started out the same way, but did have a paragraph that addressed just focusing on cardiovascular exercise:

“If you’re mainly doing cardiovascular exercise, you can go to the gym more often. Your aerobic system doesn’t need as much time to recover, but just be careful not to do too much intense activity too often. ‘Active rest days’, including some walking, is still classed as cardio, but it’s much more gentle on your body.”

I do active rest days (getting my steps in every day) so I am good with getting my butt back to the gym where it belongs… three days a week!

The article also talked about my goal of increasing aerobic fitness (AKA losing weight lol) and said I should be doing 1-3 sessions per week.

Sweet! Cause I wasn’t going to go more frquently regardless of what they said. I’d probably just keep researching until I found an article that agreed with me lol.

Did I mention how difficult it is to workout after a period of not working out?

I couldn’t believe how much progress I lost!

But, I did it to myself lol
