Day 80: Cheat Day!

November 25, 2021: Today is Thanksgiving, but because I’m thankful every day, but not every day is cheat day…

I’m more excited about it being Cheat day than I am about it being Thanksgiving!

I started the morning off with Philly Cheese Steak pizza and a piece of pumpkin bread from my entire loaf of pumpkin bread my oldest grand daughter made me…she adds milk to the kit!

Before I forget in all my excitement, here is today’s weigh in picture:

Total weight lost to date: 35.8 pounds

Well, actually…

I started my day at 1:26 this morning with a glazed donut with chocolate on top! (I forgot to get a picture of that lol)

Here is a picture of my purchased cheat items:

My pre “Thanksgiving” table lol

Here is a picture of me….LOVING my cheats, my little feet were just a tapping!

My inner Fatty…happy at long last!

And…back to the pizza for a mid morning snack!

More pre “Thanksgiving dinner” eating…

Gotta love carmel popcorn!

Maybe, I should slow down…

What? Not a chance…

Not yet…Lindor chocolates await….

White chocolate is so good!!!
Satisfying!!!

And…still more…

Milk chocolate Lindor chocolates await my consumption!

How is a cheat day different from bingeing?

(I had to ask that question, you’ve seen what I’ve eaten so far today and it’s not even noon!)

I found an article that discusses this very topic, how fortunate! lol

https://www.runtastic.com/blog/en/truth-about-cheat-days/

I’d never heard about “refeed”, so that was something interesting in the article.

I’m not going to lie, I chose this article because it gave me permission to cheat lol (you can find an article about anything you want to agree with you if you search long enough lol)

I did like how the author discussed replacing glucose:

“A cheat meal or a cheat day can help replenish your glycogen stores by increasing the number of calories and carbohydrates you are consuming. This can provide you with the energy you need for a strenuous workout; but going overboard on your cheat day can, of course, also set you back a bit with your weight loss goals.”

I almost didn’t copy and paste the “but” part lol

But…

Being a responsible coach… (no, I can’t say that, not today of all days!) I did copy and paste the but part lol

I only had to remind my husband of our cheat day rules one time today!

So there was no “bursting my bubble” going on!

And, I adhered to the rules as well…

I didn’t complain or whine once about how gasy and bloated I felt 🙂

Overview of my day:

I’m surprise I got this many, eating as much as I did takes a lot of time!
