Day 85: Reflecting

November 30, 2021: Reflecting on the past three months of my weight loss journey… about.

Then
And Now

I can see a huge difference in my face!

It’s not only tan now, but it’s slimmer, not as round!

I also don’t look as wide across the shoulders.

I don’t have any full body pictures of when I started with Optavia…I didn’t take many pictures back then!

But…

I promise I will have before and after pictures going forward!

I’m a little selfie-obsessed now lol.

Then:

  • I hated the fuelings
  • I lived to eat!
  • I was hungry all the time
  • I thought the fuelings tasted like cardboard
  • I was miserable
  • I was undisciplined
  • Inner Fatty was constantly whispering words of discouragement to me and reminding me of all the diets I tried and failed to stay on.
  • I was super hopeful, but still unsure
  • I wasn’t active at all
  • I didn’t work out
  • I didn’t drink very much water
  • I stayed up late; self-professed night owl
  • I lost nearly one pound a day

Now:

  • I don’t mind the fuelings and even have favorites that I would choose to eat over regular candy bars!
  • I eat to live-so weird, never thought I would ever say that!
  • I have to make myself eat five fuelings a day because I’m rarely ever hungry
  • I don’t know if it’s that I like the taste of fuelings now, or if I’ve just come to view them as nourishment my body needs.
  • I am at peace, content, happy and proud of my self-discipline
  • I am disciplined (except when it comes to last cheat days lol)
  • I hardly ever hear from Fatty about fast food, or have to deal with the fits she used to throw on gym days
  • I’m sure of Optavia’s effectiveness
  • I am active
  • I work out three days a week
  • I stay hydrated, even though it’s more difficult now that it is not hot outside!
  • I am in bed by 10:00 or 10:30 at the latest (now I’m an early bird! lol)
  • I’m hitting more plateaus and the weight is not coming off as fast as it did in the begining

Reflecting on the “Thens” and “Nows” is weird lol

It hasn’t always been easy, but it has been worth it!

Person of Honor

Hi! I'm Raynee. I am a Christian, a licensed professional counselor, a wife to a husband I do not deserve-cause he's so wonderful, a mother of two amazing adult children I couldn't be more proud of, and a grandmother AKA Mimi of seven absolutely adorable grandbabies. I am also an Optivia coach, a writer, a speaker, and most importantly (second to being a Christian that is) I am a woman of integrity and honor.
