Day 91: Getting My Steps In

December 6, 2021: Getting your steps in can be difficult!

Work days plus no gym days =’s low step days for me.

As you guys know based on the overview of my day pictures I post every day.

Take December 3’s overview picture for instance:

Dec. 3, 2021

I realized that unless I it was gym day I wasn’t getting my steps, and that equates to four days a week!

I have a Versa Fitbit and it alarms every hour to remind me how many steps in I have to meet my goal for the hour.

I don’t remember setting an hourly goal, but am grateful for the reminder to move once an hour!

I can spend hours at my desk, sitting, getting up only to use the bathroom or refill Bubba.

So setting an alarm helps.

As does parking towards the back of the parking lot (this also gives me more opportunities to leave the parking lot cleanner as I’m able to pick up more trash the further back I park.)

When I was watching more television, I’d walk in place during the commercials, which helped get my steps in.

But, I rarely watch television now and I didn’t replace that “tip” with another one.

I was happy to see “drink more water” because, not only do I get steps in refilling Bubba, but I also get more steps in the more I use the restroom.

Win/Win!

For me, going for walks isn’t something that I think I’ll do.

So instead, I will walk/dance around my group room while worshipping God.

That, I know I will do!

Today’s weigh-in picture:

Total weight lost to date: 35.6 pounds

I am beyond disgusted with the scale!

I am working the Optavia program, I am going to the gym three days a week and…

It feels like I’m doing all of it for nothing as I’ve continued to gain weight for the past three day!

I’ve gained 3.8 pounds in three days…nearly 4 pounds!

And that includes an extra day of 10,000 steps this week! grrrrr
