Day 22: Plateaus Are Horrible

September 28, 2021: Plateaus are horrible!

Well, technically I haven’t actually hit a platuea cause they “require” weeks of no weight loss/weight gain and I’m on day three.

So, I guess I should say mini plateaus are horrible!

They are discouraging, disheartening and confusing.

Mini plateaus have me second-guessing every morsel of food I’ve put into my mouth, the amount of time I’ve spent exercising, if I need to do more, eat less, uggg!

I know in my head that plateaus are just a part of any weight loss journey and that they are going to happen no matter what I do or don’t do…

But…I don’t “know” it in my heart that this knowledge is true. Maybe “know” isn’t the right word, maybe the words “accept it as true” are a better fit.

Do you guys experience this?

The difference between knowing something that’s true and accepting it as truth?

Drop a comment below, so that I know I’m not the only one who struggles with this, or so I know I am the only one who struggles with this lol.

Uggggh! Weight lost to date: 16.4 pounds

Fatty’s throwing a fit! Using this “mini plateau” against me big time!

I knew she would!

So, I researched why plateaus happen.

And I got my 2nd thought to fight Fatty with from this article!

My biggest take away from the article is that “No healthy sustainable weight loss journey is linear and the plateaus are important for long-term weight loss.”

TAKE THAT FATTY! Ha Ha! (yes, I am sticking my tongue out as I type this lol)

About my workouts: I go for 30 minutes and I incline to 4.0 and I increase my speed through out the workout.

I always change it depending on how I feel that day, so if you are trying to recreate my workouts you will need to focus on the calories I’ve burned.

I have to give a shout out to Tarek and Christina from Flip or Flop because I had to see the end of their show so I went longer than I would have!

Thanks guys for aiding me in my weight loss!
